Συνοδευτικό εργαλείο λογισμικού της Samsung που κατεβαίνει αυτόματα σε laptops της εταιρίας -Software updater tool- εγκαθιστά ένα συνοδευτικό service που απενεργοποιεί το Windows Update, ακόμα και αν ο χρήστης το επανενεργοποιήσει.

Η εφαρμογή Disable_Windowsupdate.exe, κάνει ότι υπονοεί το όνομα της, απενεργοποιεί δηλαδή το Windows update με στόχο το να εμποδίσει τυχόν ασύμβατα με το σύστημα updates, να εγκατασταθοιύν στον υπολογιστή.

Έτσι εκθέτει τον χρήστη σε κίνδυνο και το κάνει χωρίς την γνώση και συγκατάθεση του.

Οι κάτοχοι Samsung laptops, μπορούν να ελέγξουν για την ύπαρξη του "απαράδεκτου" app με τον παρακάτω τρόπο.
