Adobe: Τερματίζει το Flash στις φορητές συσκευές

Adobe Admits: Apple Won, Flash For Mobile is Done, HTML5 is the Future

Σύμφωνα με τον Mike Chambers της Adobe, σταματάει (επιτέλους) το Flash στους browser των φορητών συσκευών.

Το post όπου υπαγορεύει στους προγραμματιστές να επικεντρωθούν στο HTML 5 έχει ως παρακάτω :

"Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores.

We will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations. Some of our source code licensees may opt to continue working on and releasing their own implementations.

We will continue to support the current Android and PlayBook configurations with critical bug fixes and security updates."

Σύμφωνα λοιπόν με αυτό, η Adobe θα διακόψει την ανάπτυξη του Flash Player για τους browser στις φορητές συσκευές και θα δώσει βάρος, στην ανάπτυξη mobile εφαρμογών καθώς και στο HTML5.

Όπως πιθανολογείται η επίσημη ανακοίνωση της εταιρίας, αναμένεται να αναρτηθεί στο site της Adobe, μέσα στην εβδομάδα.
